Painting stuff for other people all summer has gotten a little, well, uninspiring and so I decided to paint this just for myself (and for all my lovely blogging viewers). Lovely Italia - my one true love. I have been waiting to go forever and it seems I’ll have to wait a little longer. But in the eternal words of Mr. Phil Collins, or his mother it seems, “You can’t hurry love…NOOOO…you’ll just have to wait” … and wait I shall.
Painted to the perfect combination soundtrack of jazz and raindrops, two other great loves of my life, this was done in about 6 hours on Photoshop from my ginormous book of pictures of Italy. It’s called “Overlooking Lake Como”.
